Ammar Al-Sharafi

Education: Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, Masters of Art in Education Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelors degree in English literature and English as a Foreign Language from Sana'a University in Yemen.

Previous work experience: I have 8 years of experience teaching English to speakers of other languages both in the United States and abroad. Prior to coming to Prospect Hill Academy, I worked as a High School ESL teacher at South-western City Schools in Columbus, Ohio and before that I worked for Total Educational Solutions as a K-12 ESL Teacher and ESL Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio as well.

Hobbies and interests: I love traveling and any kind of outdoor activity. Right now in my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, running, and/or going to the gym. I also enjoy spending quality time with my wife and two sons during the weekend.

Why did you choose to work at Prospect Hill Academy?: The biggest factor that influenced my decision to join PHA is the school's mission and commitment to prepare ALL students for college and beyond. I also found the leadership team here at PHA to be very supportive and helpful to both faculty and students.
