Previous work experience: Mrs. Surgenor comes to Prospect Hill Academy with a range of experience working with youth and families as an after school teacher, a youth mentor and tutor, and nonprofit leader. Most recently, she served as the Associate Director of Programs at Boston Cares overseeing the direction, development, growth, and delivery of community programs including a youth workforce development program, and multiple volunteer engagement programs for community members, companies, and non-profit partners. She is excited to join PHA as a classroom teacher and to be part of the PHA community.
Hobbies and interests: Mrs. Surgenor’s hobbies and interests include reading, listening to music and podcasts, dancing, taking walks in her neighborhood, swimming in the ocean, cooking, visiting her hometown – Madison, WI, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family!
