PHA COVID-19 Emergency Fund
Dear PHA Friends and Partners,

While the current stay-at-home order and social distancing guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19 are challenging for all of us, they present tremendous hardship for some of our PHA families.

The PHA administration has already undertaken steps to address the immediate needs of our students and families, including but not limited to:
  • Access to food by delivering over 200 bags of food, providing nearly 1,200 $25 Market Basket gift cards, and connecting families to their local food banks and other community resources.
  • The preparation and distribution of approximately 200 Chromebooks for home use by our younger children (all high school students are given a Chromebook every year already).
However, as this crisis continues with growing unemployment and staggering demand on community resources, we are finding more and more of our families with specific needs for funds. We have therefore decided to create the PHA COVID-19 Emergency Fund with the following parameters:
  1. Family must have children attending Prospect Hill Academy
  2. Maximum Grant is $500 (grants of over $250 to be disbursed in two payments)
  3. Each family may receive only one grant
  4. Grants must be used for food, rent/mortgage or other basic necessity bills, clothing, or health care
I am excited to tell you that a few individuals have graciously agreed to seed this fund with a significant amount of resources. This gives our school the ability to immediately help those most in need and is a good start. However, we will need more resources over the life of this crisis to support the PHA community we value and cherish so much.

Please contribute today to the best of your ability and support those in the PHA community most affected by this current crisis.

I sincerely thank you in advance for your support.
