As the conference chair, Ruth led the conference committee for 2025 (starting in May 2024). Leading up to the conference, Ruth and the conference committee worked with CSTA staff, supporting CSTA's core value that the conference is "for teachers, by teachers." They reviewed and selected the content for the conference, recruited and trained reviewers, and provided support for proposal writing, particularly for new presenters, as their aim is to elevate new voices.
Said Ruth, "I was really happy to hear feedback from attendees that they appreciated the program we had put together for this year. On Wednesday, I joined the stage before the keynote to thank the rest of the 2025 committee for all their work, and at the Awards Banquet (also Wednesday), I was recognized by Jake Baskin (CSTA Executive Director) for my role as Conference Chair."
