Our Mission: Prospect Hill Academy will prepare each student for success in college, inspire a lifelong love of learning, and foster responsible citizenship.

PHA is a tuition-free, PreK to Grade 12 college preparatory charter public school. Admission is lottery-based and open to all Massachusetts residents with preference given to siblings and to Somerville and Cambridge residents.

A strong Athletics program: As a founding member of the Massachusetts Charter School Athletic Organization (MCSAO), Prospect Hill Academy students are afforded the opportunity to compete interscholastically in MCSAO soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, cross-country, volleyball, cheerleading, and track.
 
The Collegiate Institute, designed to academically and social/emotionally prepare all students for the transition between school and college
 
Exemplary College Counseling and Alumni Support program:
  • 95% of our graduates enroll in college each year, the majority being the first in their families to do so 
  • 72% of our alumni graduate from college, significantly outpacing the 59% national average

In 2016, 2018, and 2019, Boston Magazine placed PHA among the top ten charter schools in Massachusetts.
 
In 2020, PHA was the top public high school in Massachusetts for students attending college and university, with a 97% success rate.
