PHA is accepting admissions applications for grades PreK through 9 for the 2026-2027 school year! Apply Now!

PHA will continue accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year through February 15, 2027. Additional admissions lotteries will be run on a weekly basis beginning Monday March 23, 2026. Lottery results will be sent to applicant families via email shortly after the weekly lottery is run.

Admissions

Admission to PHA is open to all Massachusetts residents (with exceptions for capped cities and towns). Preference is given to residents of Cambridge, Somerville, Revere, Waltham, Watertown, and Woburn, and to students with siblings* in the school.

Admission is based on a lottery process and applications for PreK through grade 9 are accepted on a rolling basis and backfilled annually. Click here for Admissions Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, mental or physical disability, age, athletic performance, special need, proficiency in the English language or in a foreign language, or prior academic achievement.

*Siblings of currently enrolled students must submit an application for admission. If they are not accepted in the lottery, they are given preference by being placed at the top of the waiting list.

Subsequent Lottery Process

Once the initial admissions lottery has been run, we continue to accept new applications so that we can fill any available seats through February 15 of the following year.

DESE requires that subsequent lotteries be held only for grade levels that do not have a waitlist. We run subsequent lotteries for those grade levels on a weekly basis. Applications included in these lotteries are then added to the waitlist for the grade in question and may be offered a seat when one becomes available.

Open seats are filled throughout the spring, summer and new school year. We encourage interested students and families to apply and watch their email for notifications of lottery results and potential seat offers.
