Ellen King

Education: University of Pennsylvania, BA in Psychology, Masters in Government; Boston College Law, JD   

 

Previous experience: Previously practiced public defense for 15 years before my career change to teaching. Taught for 4 years in the Boston Public Schools, 3 teaching grade 6, including Sheltered English Immersion and Inclusion classes.

 

Hobbies and interests: I love running and hiking; reading mysteries and nonfiction; playing videogames; cooking and baking; rooting for the Patriots, Celtics, and Sox; and playing lasertag! And my cats--I have 5 cats.    

 

Why did you choose to work at Prospect Hill Academy?: I became a teacher to help children know how capable they are, and help them reach high and succeed. Prospect Hill's staff, structure, and philosophy support this better than any school I've seen. I'm truly excited to join this team and work with these amazing students to help them grow and reach their highest potential.
