Education: Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University    

 

Previous experience: Most recently, I was a Math Tutor at Hosmer Elementary in Watertown for two months. Before that, I was a Numeracy Coach at St. Helena Elementary, Beaufort County Schools in South Carolina from August 2022 to December 2024. Originally from Ohio, I taught grades PK-3rd for over 21 years in education. (My favorite being second grade). I split my day between teaching and coaching math for the last seven years before leaving Ohio.    

 

Hobbies and interests: I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, Moxie. In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies, and go to the beach.  

 

Why did you choose to work at Prospect Hill Academy?: I chose PHA because of the sense of community and student-focused staff.  I have felt welcomed by everyone that I have met so far. I am excited to join PHA as the 2nd-grade math teacher because it combines two of my favorite things: teaching second grade and math!
