PHA Students Kick Off Mass STEM Week at Museum of Science

PHA middle school students and school leaders joined state and local officials Governor Charlie Baker, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Congressman Joe Kennedy III, MA Secretary of Education Jim Peyser, Chairman, President and CEO of Vertex Pharmaceuticals Jeffrey Leiden, MoS Chair of the Board of Trustees Gwill York, and MoS Vice President of the Education Division Annette Sawyer. All are pictured here with PHA students, including 7th grader Kayke who was invited by the Governor to sign the official proclamation kicking off Mass STEM Week!

Massachusetts STEM Week 2019 takes place from October 21st to 25th (inclusive of the weekend before and after). It is a statewide effort to boost the interest, awareness and ability for all learners to envision themselves in STEM education and employment opportunities, and compliment the formal instruction happening in the Commonwealth beyond STEM week.
