  • Cambridge Juneteenth Parade and Celebration
    Thursday June 19; 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    Celebrate freedom, community, and culture at this year’s 4th Annual Juneteenth Parade and Celebration. Enjoy a vibrant, family-friendly day filled with music, food, performances, games, and more!
    Parade begins at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Pleasant Street in Central Square. The festivities continue and end at Riverside Press Park.

  • Margaret Fuller House Juneteenth Community Celebration

  • Medford Juneteenth Flag Raising and Celebration
    Wednesday, June 18; 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
    Medford City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Dr., Medford
    All are invited to the City of Medford’s Juneteenth flag raising and celebration on the front lawn at Medford City Hall. The program will include live music by the Willie Laws Band, the drum duo of Nicholas Karinge and Stacey Moore, poetry by Medford Poet Laureate Vijaya Sundaram, and more.

  • City of Everett Juneteenth Celebration
    Thursday, June 19 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    Baldwin Avenue Park (14-16 Baldwin Avenue)
    All are welcome to unite in celebration of Juneteenth with live music, food, and activities to partake in. The event will feature live performances by DJ Troy, Janey David, Big Redd’s House, Rey Royale, and The Brothers Walk to create an unforgettable day of music and unity.

  • Boston Juneteenth Celebration
    Saturday, June 21, Franklin Park Shattuck Picnic Area
    Enjoy picnics, barbecues, music, dancing and more at the Shattuck Picnic Grove and all over the park.

  • Together We Rise: A Community Celebration of Juneteenth at Tufts University
    Wednesday, June 18, Doors Open: 8:15 a.m. | Breakfast Served: 8:30 a.m. | Program: 9:00 a.m.—11:30 a.m.
    Joyce Cummings Center, 177 College Avenue, Medford
    This community celebration will feature local artists, vendors, and educators as we seek to recognize the resilience of the Black community through a range of mediums. Join us to reflect, rejoice, and shine a light on the importance of unity during this time. This year's event is open to all Tufts community members, their families, and residents of Somerville and Medford.

  • Frederick Douglass Reading
    Wednesday, June 25 (Rain Date: June 27); 5:30 p.m.
    Trum Field (541 Broadway) 
    In collaboration with the Somerville Museum and the Somerville Arts Council, the annual reading of Frederick Douglass’s famous address, “What to the Slave is the 4th of July?”, will take place at Somerville’s Fourth of July fireworks celebration.

  • Open House at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston & Free Day at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
