I love being a teacher at a Charter Public School cuz I get to question and rebelled against the Norms my name is Rachel witch hunter 9th grade English and I'm a reading specialist and special educator it Prospect Hill Academy and I've been there for 11 years I was inspired to teach when I realized the roots of teaching is creativity creativity looks like radical inclusion when every student in the fastest reading and writing because they have something they want to know or something they want to say call my students English language because I want them to know that writing is an art form and I want them to explore it that way take pride in how they reveal their style and how they express themselves and their work when I think about creativity I also think about models and approaches to the ways we do education at my school I thought. Deeply about ways to reimagine some of those models we tried something new I was allowed to propose and show what happens when Creek elem is approached from a special education and inclusion Nissan Pro and confident especially students beginning to identify as readers and writers and ways that they hadn't felt before and we all watched the state that had flatlined for a few years that growth was shared with the students and it was celebrated
