At PHA, we prioritize hands-on learning experiences that foster deep engagement and critical thinking, bringing the classroom curriculum to life for our students. Last December, thanks to a grant from the Whole Kids Foundation, our sixth grade experienced this type of deeper learning as they worked collaboratively to get two grant-funded Lettuce Grow vertical farmstands up and running, learning and building stronger relationships along the way.

Our students are loving their new PUMA backpacks, courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Somerville and their annual backpack and school supply drive. We are grateful for their continued generous support of our students each year through the drive.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are excited to see our PreK-12 scholars and can’t wait to see them develop and grow this year. We’ve spent much of our summer preparing for this week with a clear path—a district and campus plan(s) to excellence in teaching and learning that yields high student outcomes in all domains! In the coming weeks, we will share the specifics of these plans.

We are again offering English as a Second Language Classes for PHA family members! Classes are offered for beginners and intermediary speakers and take place on Saturday mornings at our Cambridge campus.
