Prospect Hill Academy Earns Dual AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award
Prospect Hill Academy Charter School (PHA) has earned the College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in both AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles. Out of the 20,000 schools worldwide that offer AP courses, PHA is one of only 56 to be recognized for closing the gender gap in both AP computer science courses.
Top Massachusetts schools for sending students to college or university: Charter schools thrive in top 50%
Via MassLive.com: "Prospect Hill Academy Charter was the top school for students attending college and university at a 97% success rate, according to the Department of Education. The K-12 college-preparatory public charter school is located on three campuses in Somerville and Cambridge."
Three PHA Seniors Receive ACE Mentor Program Scholarship Awards
Via Somerville WickedLocal.com: Congratulations to PHA seniors Syalomee Pradhan, Liam McNally, and Sean Carter on receiving ACE Mentor Program scholarship awards! The students represented 3 out of only 30 high school students in greater Boston who received awards. They were honored in a student showcase event held on March 11. ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston is a nonprofit organization which introduces high school students to the architecture, construction, and engineering industries.
